I have Moved!
I have expanded and completed the site I set out to build. The URL is http://banjo-creek.com and gives you a complete listing of activities, products and photos of what is new.
Don't forget the 'Dash'.
Banjo-creek.
A simple oversight, but one that if not followed will land you in banjo creek farms.
Thanks for your patience.
See you there!

Whats new, at a glance-
First off, the new website is done-
http://www.banjo-creek.com
So this stuff is Old!
by about a year- but if you enjoy the reading, Carry on!
I am going to have to start at the top and go down by date. This working backwards stuff is for the birds. So my updates will go from the most recent to the oldest. Otherwise this will be a huge page with the most relavent and recent items at the end. Right now I am just tumbling stones and learning to facet.
But awile back...
4/3/04
Finally got out to Bagdad. Man! Tons of Agate and Jasper.
Literally tons! It looks like a truck drove up and dumped the Jasper
all over the desert. I'll be going back there if I can sell the 470
pounds of stuff I picked up there. I was able to send about 50# out
to people who were looking for some stone. Time will tell if I can
unload the rest of it. The photos are on the picture page, as usual.
I am way behind in updating this site. Good thing it is low traffic,
or I'd be worried.
Thanks for stopping by! |
Check out the Photos and links
I've had to add a note here about the jewelry that I have been working on. Plus this side needs to be added to because the left hand column is growing so much, it looks stupid to have this little blurb here. So, anyway, I posted some new pictures of some of some of my creations on the 'Phot Page' of this website. All of these are for sale, by the way, and it has been more or less a matter of trying to figure out what is reasonable for the time put into. That is a losing battle. I have sold them from $100.00 to $000.00, depending on the individual. Some people just need a gift!
I've also tried to use this space for things that pertain to my newest hobby. That would be the wonderful world of 'Rock Tumbling.
"(I did some fly tying, play the tin whistle, banged on the Jembe, worked with leather, made stuff with beads and twine and cool knots, play harmonica, did some oil and then water color painting, and so on.)
I have gone over all of these and hope to keep them relevent to the topic and at least have an explanation of why they are included. If you would like to contact me please feel free. I welcome every and all suggestions. I can try to incorporate what ever you might think I should include. But don't be crushed if your don't see your "Brilliant" idea displayed here,

Bottom left hand corner
I am finally past the stage in this hobby where I am constantly searching the paper and ebay for used rock tumblers. Somehow I have myself believing that I can speed the whole process along by staying busy shuffling little second hand tumblers I pick up for half price, around my work space. Then I try to decide what course of grit to dedicate to each one. Mean while my tumbler with the 60/90 just keeps spinning. I have plans for the next 6 loads at least. Maybe I should dedicate another little tumbler to course grit. No, then it is contaminated. So, patience plays a big part in this hobby. You want to see shiney rocks, but if you rush, they won't polish. What have I gotten myself into?

I'll be busy for a while
This is what I am doing with the rocks I polish. This is a "Super-charged stone. If your into 'New Age' stuff.
